Create, connect and play in music therapy
We are together in music therapy
You can be in music therapy
Music therapy is an opportunity for creating connections and exploring expressivity through musical means.
With emphasis on participation and collaboration, we may engage in:
shared listening
song-writing
musical games
or jamming in a wide variety of genres.
Sessions are approached with an improvisational attitude, led by the individuals and what they bring to the music.
Music therapy is accessible to everyone and can provide benefits for people of all ages with different life circumstances and needs. As an evidence-based practice, the areas of wellbeing that are positively impacted include:
communication
physical development
social and cognitive skills
emotional and mental health
overall quality of life.
Music therapy is offered in various formats and can be:
delivered privately in the client's home
as a service available to the organisation (such as schools, hospitals, care homes or day centres).
Sessions can be held as individual, pairs and groups. Please feel free to get in contact to find out more!
Hello, my name is Chi! I am a HCPC registered music therapist and piano teacher based in Manchester. I began my journey in music over 15 years ago as a cellist, violinist and pianist. I later expanded my skills with guitar and voice that have helped my flexibility and adaptability to clients' needs.
I am experienced in working with clients of all ages, from toddlers to the elderly, that live with various mental health, developmental, sensory and learning needs. Throughout my music therapy training, I discovered my passion for working with children in particular, as well as in settings of mental health services.
